Redcar Exceeds Housing Targets Year on Year

Despite continuous attempts by the West Midland Pension Fund and Taylor Wimpey to develop Marske into the new Ingleby Barwick, one excuse they can't use is that Redcar and Cleveland needs the houses. R&C has been consistently over housing targets since 2015 - with no Covid slow down.


The fields around Marske have been bought by the fund and are chased by developers like Taylor Wimpey and Miller as they can make larger initial profits developing around Marske and Saltburn. Marske is not particularly affordable, nor is the WMPF plan trying to be affordable, with most houses 4 bedroomed detached houses with presumed prices based on current new build prices as £450,000 plus.
