Taylor Wimpey buy out resident and knock his house down in bid to join Marske and Redcar

In 2014 I attempted to assist Longbeck councillors from the Rowan Garth estate. Not only were many trees felled by the development set a precedent to

allow encroachment of the startegic gap between Marske and Redcar. I was unable to represent residents at the planning meeting as I was not their councillor and the then councillors for Longbeck lacked the legal understanding to attack the proposal and devlopers. Taylor Wimpey got the proposal through by a whisker.

Now Talyor Whipey are advertising a new site in Marske as "coming soon". The "Cat Flatt" proposal has not yet been posted on the Redcar and Cleveland Planning portal.

Redcar and Cleveland is over it's housing targets and local demand with the cost of living crisis.

However, that's not stopping countryside-chomping Taylor Wimpey. They have reached terms with a resident on Rowan Garth to knock down their house to access a triange of land behind Cleveland View. This isn't a St Germains Ward development but it needs to be stopped as the next field will join Redcar to Marske.

The Silverdale Access Group is the residents' campigning organisation against this specific development.
